the Man of the year

Time magazine, for those of you who don't know, is a weekly magazine focused on global current affairs. Every year the editing staff picks a man of the year. I think they say person of the year now, but seriously, most of the women chosen have been the man. This year, the person of the year was Vladimir Putin, the two-term president of Russia. Mr. Putin is the essence of the man. He is cold, reserved, and powerful. Unlike most leaders of neo-Communist countries, Putin retains an institutional blandness. He has no particular trademark, but in unmistakable in all his charactatures. I applaud time magazines choice of Mr. Putin, certainly a step up from last years ambigous "you". The runners up in the contest are interesting as well. Al Gore? what has he done this year? He won an oscar and a nobel prize, but other then that.... J.K Rowling, i geuss she sold a lot of books, but seriously, what has she actually done for the world today, except out Dumbledore. Do not underestimate the significance of an outed Dumbledore. Hu Jintao. If Putin and Jintao got into a fight, who would win? I wonder........ Lastly Gen. David Petraeus, whiner exstrodinare.

third time lucky right?

I've reshaped this blog a couple times now. I don't think its readership every really passed far beyond my mom at its highest point. This time, it will be different. This time, it will spread far and wide. I have discovered the power of the "email to ten friends" chain letter. This new technology will propel this blog to greatness.
Now, the man, I am taking on the man. The man is not defined by gender, but as an authority figure. Right now, I imagine my father (who is definatley of the man) shaking his head and saying, son you are so wrong. So not. Authority must be questioned. It must be shaken. It must be brought to its knees. Okay, bit extreme, but you get my point. just to recap for the skim readers out the, angsty teenager will bs his way through yet another blog.
